Microsoft is making it even easier to stay connected with your Android phone from the comfort of your Windows 11 PC. The latest update to the Windows Insider Program brings a brand new feature to the Phone Link app: Suggested Replies.
Imagine this: you’re engrossed in work, browsing the web on your PC, when a text pops up from a friend. Normally, you’d have to reach for your phone, break your concentration, and type out a response. But with Suggested Replies, a whole new world of convenience opens up.
Here’s how it works. Phone Link, already a handy tool for connecting your Android phone to your Windows PC, now uses Microsoft’s intelligent cloud-based suggestion model to analyze your incoming texts. Based on the context of the message, Suggested Replies generates three options for you to choose from. Got a text asking “How’s it going?” No need to fumble for your keyboard – simply click on a reply like “Not bad, you?” or “Busy, but good thanks!” and your response is sent off instantly.

This new feature is currently available for Windows Insiders who are part of the Canary channel. If you’re enrolled and receive the latest update (Canary Preview Build 26227 with Phone Link version 1.24051.98 or newer), Suggested Replies will be automatically enabled.
The update also includes a tweak for accessing Copilot, a separate AI-powered productivity tool. With the arrival of Copilot Plus PCs featuring a dedicated Copilot key, Microsoft is retiring the old Windows Key + C shortcut. But fear not, existing PC users! The new shortcut is simply the Windows Key combined with the number corresponding to the Copilot app’s position on your taskbar.
