Range may also be limited initially, especially at the higher 6 GHz frequencies until FCC approves higher transmit power levels.

Although devices certified for Wi-Fi 7 are just starting to be released, routers have been shipping preemptively for some time. However, these routers are not yet affordable, with flagship models selling for up to $2300 or more. For most consumers, Wi-Fi 6E routers still provide excellent performance at more reasonable prices.
