As we approach the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, Ugreen has stirred excitement with the reveal of its latest innovation: the Nexode 500W 6-Port GaN desktop charger. This isn’t just another charger; it’s a powerhouse designed to cater to the modern tech enthusiast’s needs, from charging multiple laptops simultaneously to powering up your e-bike or e-scooter.

This new desktop charger significantly ups the ante with a total output capacity of 500 watts, a considerable leap from its previous model’s 300W. The charger sports five USB-C ports alongside one USB-A port, providing a versatility that’s rare in desktop charging solutions.

With the capability to deliver up to 240W through a single USB-C port, this charger can handle not only your high-demand gaming laptops but also cater to a plethora of devices simultaneously. Imagine charging five laptops at once, each at different power levels, without breaking a sweat. The flexibility here is immense: you can power a gaming laptop at 240W, two more at 100W, and another at 60W, or opt for a different configuration, like a 240W laptop with four others at 60W, plus a device on the USB-A port.

Ugreen’s design philosophy with this charger goes beyond typical office use. They envision it as a central power hub for various settings – whether it’s your cluttered desk, a busy kitchen, or a workshop brimming with gadgets. With its capacity to charge power tools and even e-bikes, this charger redefines the utility of desktop charging stations.

The charger supports advanced charging protocols like USB-PD 3.1 and Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0, ensuring that users get the fastest charging speeds possible for their devices. The distribution of power among ports is also quite ingenious; while one port can max out at 240W, the other five share the remaining 260W, adapting to the needs of each connected device.

Pricing and availability

While Ugreen has not yet disclosed the price or exact availability for the Nexode 500W, attendees of CES 2025 can look forward to seeing this device in action at Ugreen’s booth #30525. Given its advanced capabilities and the precedent set by previous models, this charger is expected to be on the higher end of the pricing spectrum but well worth the investment for tech-heavy environments.

Additional highlights from Ugreen at CES 2025

Alongside this charger, Ugreen is showcasing other innovative products:

  • NASync iDX series AI NAS: This is touted as the world’s first AI NAS equipped with an LLM (Large Language Model), powered by an Intel Core Ultra processor. It’s designed for users who need high-performance data storage with smart functionalities.
  • Revodok Max 2131 Thunderbolt 5 docking station: Offering bidirectional data transfer speeds up to 80Gbps, this docking station supports single-screen 8K resolution at 60Hz or dual-screen 4K at 144Hz, making it a game-changer for professionals and gaming enthusiasts alike.
  • Genshin Impact collaboration: Ugreen has joined forces with the popular game Genshin Impact to launch a limited-edition product lineup. Inspired by a mysterious five-star character, these products blend the game’s aesthetic with high functionality, enhancing both in-game and real-life experiences.
