After numerous delays and unfulfilled promises, Tesla is gearing up to deliver its long-awaited Cybertrucks to eager customers. CEO Elon Musk recently made an official announcement regarding the much-anticipated event.
For those who’ve been patiently waiting, this news will come as a welcome relief. Despite several previous unmet delivery targets, Tesla has now declared that the Cybertruck delivery event is locked in for November 30, 2023. This event will take place at Tesla’s Gigafactory in Austin, Texas.
Tesla not only unveiled a promotional poster for the occasion on X/Twitter but also shared a post/tweet stating, “Cybertruck production remains on track for later this year, with first deliveries scheduled for November 30th at Giga Texas.“
However, it’s important to note that this development isn’t without its challenges. During Tesla’s Q3 earnings call, Elon Musk acknowledged the substantial hurdles involved in ramping up Cybertruck production. The company’s ambitious goal is to manufacture 250,000 Cybertrucks annually, but it will take approximately 18 months to reach that production capacity.
The Cybertruck, with its distinctive steel-plated design and unconventional appearance, was initially introduced in 2019, with production initially slated for 2021. After a series of delays and setbacks, the electric SUV is now approaching its long-awaited debut. Recently, Tesla showcased the Cybertruck’s capabilities by taking a few of them for a spin on an off-road track in Baja California, providing enthusiasts with a glimpse of what’s to come.
