The new Telegram update introduces some new features including Payments 2.0 for all chats, Voice Chat Scheduling & Mini profiles for voice chats, and a new Web Version.

Initially, Telegram launches Payments in 2017 which allows users to securely pay for goods and services without leaving the app, and now merchants can natively accept credit card payments in any chats which are powered by third-party payment providers including Stripe, Yandex.Money, Sberbank, Tranzzo, Payme, CLICK, LiqPay, ECOMMPAY.

Also, buyers can now add a tip whenever they make a purchase to show some extra love to their favorites artists, stores, or delivery drivers. Payments can now be made from any app including desktop apps. Being said that, Telegram also made a commitment to its to not take any commission as well as not stores any payment information.

Now admins of groups and channels can schedule a Voice Chat for a particular date and time instead of a creating new one. After setting it up, then users will see a colorful countdown at the top of the chat, if they are busy the countdown can opt to receive a notification about when the voice chat will start. Note that, voice chat will not start automatically when it reaches zero unless the admin press the Start Now button.

Now Mini profiles for voice chats let you expand your profile picture. Also, users can change profile pictures and edit their bio without leaving the chat. Telegram also introduces a new Web Version since the first launch in 2014, now with the new web version users can get instant access to their chats on any devices including desktop and mobile. His apps are only required a 400KB download size and no installation is needed. Users can access this new web version through the Telegram Web K & Telegram Web Z.

Telegram said, “While iOS users can already download this update from the App Store, Google told us they are “currently experiencing longer than usual review times due to adjusted work schedules”. Luckily, you don’t have to wait until the review is completed. Anyone can download Telegram for Android directly from telegram.org. Apps installed from the website will automatically update to the latest version. You are likely to get new versions several days or weeks faster this way because you won’t have to wait for updates to be reviewed by the store.”

Telegram also added Pinch to Zoom for photos and videos viewer so the users can now simply pinch any photo or images directly from the chat without open the media viewer. Telegram also made some improvements in Video Player now, when users watching a video from a media player on iOS, press and hold the + or – 15s buttons to fast-forward and rewind. On Android press and hold on the right or left side of the screen to do the same, and double-tap to jump 10 seconds in either direction.
