The second season of the Emmy Award-winning thriller “Tehran,” which will premiere exclusively on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 6, 2022, was announced today by Apple TV+.

Glenn Close, a two-time Emmy Award winner and Academy Award nominee, returns as Mossad agent Tamar Rabinyan and is joined by Shaun Toub and Shervin Alenabi in the new season.

“Tehran“ is a thrilling story about a Mossad operative who goes deep undercover in Tehran on a risky operation that puts her and everyone else in danger.

The series is created by Moshe Zonder, Dana Eden and Maor Kohn, and is directed by Daniel Syrkin. Along with Zonder, Omri Shenhar contributes as a writer. Syrkin and Shenhar are co-creators as well.

Eden and Shula Spiegel (Donna and Shula Productions), Alon Aranya (Paper Plane Productions), Julien Leroux (Paper Entertainment), Peter Emerson (Cineflix Studios), and Zonder, Shenhar, Syrkin, and Eldad Koblenz (Kan 11) are the executive producers. Cineflix Rights licenses “Tehran” worldwide.
