Get ready to ditch the monologue and join the conversation! Spotify just dropped a game-changer for podcast fans: the ability to comment on episodes. This is on top of the polls and Q&A features they already have, so basically, podcast creators are about to become your new BFFs (well, virtually).

Remember those times you cracked up at a hilarious joke and wished you could high-five the host through your phone? Or maybe you heard a mind-blowing fact on a science show and just had to discuss it with someone (anyone!). Well, comments are here to make those moments a reality. You can finally share your thoughts and spark discussions with fellow listeners, turning your favorite shows into a virtual party.

But hold on a sec, what about privacy? No worries, introverts! Just like Q&A responses, comments are private by default. Podcast creators have total control over what gets published. They can choose to personally approve each comment, enable them for specific episodes, or keep things chill and disable comments altogether.

So, how do you join the fun? Creators will be managing comments through a shiny new Spotify for Podcasters app, available on both desktop and mobile (the mobile app is rolling out slowly, so give it a few days). Listeners, keep an eye on your Spotify app – the comment feature will be popping up in your market this week!

This update is a total game-changer for Spotify. Podcasts are no longer just one-way streets; they’re about to become interactive hubs where creators and listeners can chat, bond, and geek out together. Whether you’re a superfan or a casual listener, get ready to have your voice heard in the exciting world of podcasts!
