Spotify has introduced an exciting new feature for playlist customization, called “Create Cover Art,” allowing users to design their playlist covers directly within the app. This feature, rolling out in beta across 65 markets, gives users a suite of tools to personalize cover images with creative effects and custom shapes, like stars and hearts, on top of vibrant backgrounds. Users can also apply a variety of filters, stickers, and text in different fonts and styles, adding a unique flair to their curated playlists.
Accessible on the mobile app, users can locate the feature by opening a playlist, tapping on the ellipsis menu, and selecting “Create Cover Art.” From here, they can explore options to add playful or sophisticated touches, like fisheye effects or radial blurs, to highlight the playlist’s vibe. This tool enhances the user experience by making playlist curation more expressive, building on Spotify’s commitment to a personalized listening journey.
This new tool not only caters to individual creativity but aligns with Spotify’s push to make playlist sharing on social media more engaging. Whether users want to showcase their taste in music or style their playlists for specific moods, “Create Cover Art” empowers them with professional-level design options—all without needing external editing apps.
