The first teaser arrives for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)

The trailer for “Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One),” the sequel to Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, has been unveiled by Sony Pictures Entertainment. Miles Morales (played by Shameik Moore) is seen in the trailer listening to music (“Sunflower”) on headphones in his bedroom, but Gwen Stacy (played by Hailee Steinfeld) arrives from the portal and invites Miles back into adventure, and then we see Miles swings through a portal formed of hexagonal rings.

And then we suddenly saw Miles in another dimension in the teaser, he is swinging over an Indian country premised on the sounds and Hindi words on shops. The whole thing has a painted feel to that though. Miles is then attacked by Miguel O’Hara, aka Spider-Man 2099 (played by Oscar Isaac). Oscar Isaac made a cameo as the character in the post-credits scene of the previous film, and we may expect him to play a major role in this one.

Altogether, the trailer does not disclose much about the plot, but Across the Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) appears to be an entertaining film. And it’s mostly due to the quality of the first film, which surprised everyone and went on to win the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature. A similar stunning visual approach may be seen here.

The upcoming sequel will “transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to team up with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered,” according to the official description.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One) is set to hit theaters on October 7th, 2022, with Part Two following in 2023.
