Priced slightly above Sennheiser’s CX Plus, which debuted last year at $179.95, the ACCENTUM True Wireless buds might signal a shift in focus for the mid-tier lineup. Though there’s no word yet on the fate of the CX Plus, the ACCENTUM True Wireless seems poised to take its place, boasting an intriguing mix of features at this price point.

In comparison to Sennheiser’s pricier flagship, the Momentum True Wireless 4 ($299), which hit stores earlier this year, the ACCENTUM True Wireless buds skip the aptX Adaptive and aptX Lossless technologies to keep costs down. However, they do support Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast for future connectivity enhancements.

Initial feedback on the sound quality of the ACCENTUM True Wireless buds is positive, with a focus on the brand’s 7mm dynamic True Response Transducers that promise robust bass, clear mids, and crisp treble. These drivers, manufactured at Sennheiser’s Tullamore factory, are shared with other high-end models like the MOMENTUM series.

Battery life is competitive, offering up to 8 hours per charge and a total of 28 hours with the charging case. Quick charging via USB-C provides an hour of playback in just 10 minutes, ensuring you’re not left without music for long.

Like its over-ear counterparts, the ACCENTUM True Wireless buds come equipped with Hybrid ANC and Transparency modes, accessible through touch controls on the buds or the Sennheiser Smart Control app. The app also offers a 5-band equalizer and Sound Check presets, enhancing the user experience.
