If you’ve ever been frustrated by the need to navigate through apps just to tweak settings on your earbuds, Samsung has some great news for you. With its latest software update, One UI 7 beta, the company is making adjustments more seamless by integrating Galaxy Buds controls directly into the Quick Settings panel.

One UI 7, Samsung’s custom interface built on Android 15, introduces a refreshed Quick Settings menu where Galaxy Buds3 and Galaxy Buds3 Pro owners can manage their earbuds without opening the Galaxy Wearable app. A new shortcut in the media player widget allows users to access controls for features like active noise cancellation (ANC), 360 Audio, equalizer presets, and even battery levels.

This convenience streamlines the experience for Galaxy Buds users, making it easier to adapt to different listening environments on the fly—whether you’re toggling between ANC modes or just checking your earbuds’ charge before a workout.

The update isn’t limited to earbud controls. One UI 7 brings a host of improvements, including a cleaner Quick Settings layout, revamped app icons, and enhanced AI features like Look Now and Circle to Search. It’s part of a broader effort to modernize the user experience for Samsung’s flagship Galaxy devices, starting with the Galaxy S24 series. While the earbuds feature is exclusive to the latest Galaxy Buds models for now, Samsung hasn’t ruled out expanding it to older devices in the future.

The beta version of One UI 7 started rolling out in early December to select markets, with a full release expected early next year. As always, beta software might see tweaks before the final version lands, so additional features or compatibility updates could still be in store.

Samsung’s integration of earbud controls into Quick Settings is a small but thoughtful change that eliminates friction for users, showcasing its commitment to blending software innovation with hardware functionality.
