Samsung‘s popular The Frame TV has become a runaway success in recent years for its ability to disguise a television as a framed piece of art. With its customizable bezels and ever-growing library of artwork to display, The Frame lets users embrace their inner interior decorator. Now, Samsung is taking the camouflage concept one step further with the announcement of the new Music Frame speaker.
Just like its namesake television, the Music Frame hides a useful home device – in this case a speaker – behind the facade of modern artwork. The Music Frame features a physical print on the front that Samsung promises will be customizable when orders start rolling out later this year. Users will be able to truly make it their own by displaying their favorite photos or art pieces.
Behind that stylish exterior lies capable speaker hardware complete with built-in woofers and Samsung’s intelligent audio processing for crisp, full sound. Thanks to Q-Symphony technology, the Music Frame can link up wirelessly with Samsung’s latest 2024 lineup of televisions and soundbars to provide surround sound audio. Or it can fly solo as a standalone wireless speaker – the choice is yours.
Samsung believes the Music Frame’s chameleon-like talents will allow it to slide seamlessly into modern home decor. A press release from the company raves that the speaker “customizable speaker seamlessly blends into its environment by camouflaging as a modern picture frame that can display art or photography.” So while it pumps out the jams, to the naked eye the Music Frame keeps up appearances as just another addition to your meticulously curated living space.
With no official pricing details announced yet, it remains to be seen just how much this blending-in will cost you. But interested buyers likely won’t have to wait long to find out. Samsung says the Music Frame will ship alongside the company’s other newly announced 2024 home theater products starting this spring.
So for design-forward audiophiles seeking a speaker that looks as good as it sounds when not in use, Samsung seems ready to once again meet the demand. The Frame line is going multi-functional, and no longer stopping at just televisions. If this speaker iteration proves popular, more offshoots could follow suit down the line. But for now, entering 2024 it’s music to the ears of those seeking high-fidelity furniture.
