The anticipation surrounding Samsung‘s Galaxy S25 series continues to build ahead of its expected launch in early 2025, and thanks to some leaked footage, we now have a clearer idea of what the Galaxy S25 Ultra will look like. The leak, shared via Reddit, offers a hands-on preview of the device, which was identified by reliable tipster Ice Universe as the Galaxy S25 Ultra despite the misleading video title, “S24 Ultra definitely.”
One of the most noticeable design changes is the rounded corners. While Samsung’s previous models, like the Galaxy S24 Ultra, featured sharper, squarer edges, the S25 Ultra seems to embrace a softer, more ergonomic look that mirrors the rounded UI elements Samsung is preparing for its One UI 7 software update. This update, expected to debut alongside the S25 series, includes new design tweaks that complement the more fluid and softer shapes of the phone, making it more comfortable to hold.
S24 Ultra definitely.

In addition to the rounder corners, the leaked video shows the S25 Ultra with a glossy finish, metallic edges, and a rear camera setup that closely resembles the previous generation’s setup. The camera arrangement features the same quad-lens system but is expected to get some upgrades under the hood, including improvements to the ultrawide and 3x telephoto cameras. These sensors, which have been somewhat outdated in previous models, could be bumped up to 50 MP, ensuring better performance across a wider range of shooting scenarios.
The shift toward a curvier design is not just limited to Samsung. Google’s Pixel lineup has also moved towards rounder edges in recent years, signaling a broader trend in the industry. If Samsung is following this path, the Galaxy S25 Ultra will likely be a more comfortable device to hold for extended periods, especially compared to the more angular Galaxy S24 Ultra.
While the design is now almost certain, we’ll have to wait for the official reveal, which is expected at Samsung’s Unpacked event in early 2025. Until then, these leaks give us a pretty good look at what’s coming down the pipeline. Expect more details to emerge as we approach the launch, and for now, these curvier corners are definitely a design to watch out for.
