Samsung is gearing up to step into Google’s territory with a new AI-driven audio editing tool. The anticipated feature, rumored to launch with One UI 7, might rival Google Pixel’s Audio Magic Eraser. This innovative tool, which debuted with the Pixel 8 series and was upgraded for the Pixel 9, allows users to enhance video sound quality by isolating or adjusting elements like speech, background noise, and wind sounds.
Leaks from the reputable Ice Universe (on a Weibo post) suggest Samsung’s version will offer similar functionality. A shared screenshot hints at its application during events like concerts, where users can modify sound dynamics in their video recordings. However, the leaker indicates this feature isn’t part of current beta builds, implying it could be exclusive to Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup at launch.

Beyond this exciting audio feature, the Galaxy S25 family is shaping up to be a powerhouse. The flagship model, potentially rebranded as the Galaxy S25 Note, is expected to boast a Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 chipset or an Exynos 2500 processor, enhanced AI capabilities, and up to 12GB of RAM. Additionally, ergonomic design updates with rounded edges could make the devices more comfortable to handle, while maintaining Samsung’s signature sleek aesthetics.
Samsung typically unveils its Galaxy S series in January, so we might see the S25 devices debuting in early 2025. If history is a guide, the audio editing feature could first appear exclusively on these models before trickling down to other compatible Galaxy devices. Owners of the Galaxy S24 or Galaxy Z Flip6 may need to wait for subsequent updates to try out Samsung’s take on audio enhancement.
