Ring, a home security company, has unveiled its latest innovation, the Stick Up Cam Pro, during Amazon‘s annual fall event. This new addition to Ring’s lineup comes with an intriguing feature called “Bird’s Eye View,” which harnesses radar technology to track a person’s movement within the camera’s field of vision.
Previously available on devices like the Video Doorbell Pro 2, Floodlight Cam Pro, and Spotlight Cam Pro, “Bird’s Eye View” is now making its way to the Stick Up Cam Pro. This technology allows the camera to monitor the path of individuals on your property and the route they took to reach their destination. This means you can receive more discreet motion alerts, sparing you from unnecessary notifications triggered by passing shadows.
The Stick Up Cam Pro inherits the weather-resistant, compact, and sleek design of its predecessor, making it suitable for installation in various locations. It boasts high dynamic range (HDR) video, color night vision, and dual microphones for improved audio quality. With two-way talk and a built-in siren, this camera offers comprehensive security features. Users can choose their preferred power source—solar, battery, or wired connection—providing flexibility in installation. Additionally, it seamlessly integrates with other Ring products, allowing you to create a customized home security system.
Ring is also introducing Ring Routines, a feature that enables users to activate and deactivate Alexa routines that sync with their Ring cameras. Over time, these routines will evolve, enabling you to automate tasks like turning on your home’s lights when someone rings the doorbell at night.
The Stick Up Cam Pro is now available for pre-order at a starting price of $179.99 for the battery and plug-in versions, with the solar-powered version priced at $209.99. Shipping begins on October 18th, offering homeowners an advanced solution for enhancing their home security.
