Paramount Plus, the popular streaming service, today made significant changes to its subscription options and pricing structure. The company announced a price increase for its ad-supported plan, which will now be priced at $5.99 per month or $59.99 per year, up from the previous rate of $4.99 per month. This adjustment comes as Paramount Plus introduces its new offering, Paramount Plus with SHOWTIME, which aims to simplify the subscription experience for users.
Prior to this change, Paramount Plus had two separate premium plans: one without SHOWTIME for $9.99 per month and another with SHOWTIME for $11.99 per month. However, with the introduction of the Paramount Plus with SHOWTIME tier, the $9.99 per month plan has been replaced, resulting in a streamlined selection of subscription options.
The ad-supported essential plan, now priced at $5.99 per month, provides users with access to Paramount Plus content, including highly anticipated shows like the Yellowstone spinoffs, 1883 and 1923, as well as live NFL games through CBS. On the other hand, the new Paramount Plus with SHOWTIME subscription tier offers everything included in the essential plan, along with a wide range of content from SHOWTIME, such as the thrilling series Yellowjackets, the beloved return of Dexter, and the critically acclaimed Your Honor.
For current subscribers of Paramount Plus’ previous premium plan, the company has confirmed that they will automatically be upgraded to the Paramount Plus with SHOWTIME tier. Unfortunately, this means that they will be subject to the new pricing of $11.99 per month starting from their next billing cycle. New customers, on the other hand, have an exciting opportunity to try out the Paramount Plus with SHOWTIME subscription with a 30-day free trial. To avail of this offer, simply use the promo code STREAM30 before July 12th, 2023.
