In the new trailer for Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One, Tom Cruise’s Ethan Hunt is still on the run. The famous Impossible Missions Force agent is dragged into another job whose conclusion will affect the arc of human history.

It’s unclear what kind of MacGuffin former IMF director Eugene Kittridge (played by Henry Czerny) is using to characterize Hunt as the mission’s objective. Benji Dunn (played by Simon Pegg), Ilsa Faust (played by Rebecca Ferguson), Luther Stickell (played by Ving Rhames), and Alanna Mitsopolis (played by Vanessa Kirby) are all drawn into the battle for control of the thing because of its potential to “control the truth.”

Though Ethan and his pals will work together to defeat the film’s enigmatic enemy, Esai Morales, the teaser reveals that newcomer Grace (played by Hayley Atwell) will be a thorn in Ethan’s side as the two travel around the world.
