Microsoft is set to host its Windows devices on ARM event on May 20, where the tech giant is expected to unveil the Surface Pro 10 OLED, a new addition to its Surface Pro lineup. The device is rumored to be powered by Qualcomm‘s ARM-based processor, the Snapdragon X Plus, which was recently spotted in a Geekbench DirectML benchmark test.
The Snapdragon X Plus, also known as X1P64100, is a 10-core processor with a maximum clock speed of 3.42GHz. It features two clusters, one with six performance cores and the other with four efficiency cores. This configuration differs from the Snapdragon X Elite, which has 12 identical cores with two being higher-clocked at 4.3GHz.
The Snapdragon X Plus also comes with a built-in X65 modem, unlike the X Elite, which has an external modem. The benchmark test was conducted on a device codenamed OEMMN, which is believed to be the Microsoft Surface Pro 10 OLED. The device is reportedly equipped with 16GB of RAM and runs on Windows 11 Pro Insider Preview.

Microsoft’s Surface Pro 10 OLED is expected to be unveiled with 16GB of RAM as standard, along with a choice of 256GB, 512GB, or 1TB of storage. The device is rumored to be powered by the Snapdragon X Plus, which is expected to deliver improved performance and power efficiency compared to its predecessors.
Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X Elite is also expected to be unveiled at the Windows on ARM event, and it is rumored to be the flagship processor in Qualcomm’s new line of ARM-based silicon. The Snapdragon X Elite is expected to deliver even better performance and power efficiency than the Snapdragon X Plus, making it an ideal choice for high-performance computing devices.
Microsoft’s Windows on ARM event on May 20 is expected to be a significant milestone in the development of ARM-based computing devices. With Qualcomm’s latest ARM-based processors, the Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite, Microsoft’s Surface Pro 10 OLED is expected to deliver improved performance and power efficiency, making it an ideal choice for users looking for a high-performance computing device.
