Matter

Matter is a smart home connectivity standard aiming to improve interoperability between devices from different manufacturers. It uses existing internet protocols (IP) like Ethernet, Wi-Fi, and Thread, allowing devices to work across various platforms such as Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, and Apple HomeKit. The standard specifies device network joining, a common application protocol, and independent interoperability testing. A Matter logo indicates compatibility with other Matter-enabled devices and ecosystems.
