Spider-Man and Miles Morales swing through the air in Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game, set against a backdrop of towering buildings in a sandy, destructive cityscape. In the distance, a colossal Sandman looms with glowing eyes and debris swirling around. Both Spider-Men are mid-action, with web-shooters extended and iconic spider suits glowing against the chaotic scene. The image captures intense action and the dynamic environment of the game.

Sony‘s push to bring more of its PlayStation exclusives to PC continues with one of its biggest titles yet: Spider-Man 2. The company announced that this PS5 blockbuster will officially land on PC platforms like Steam and the Epic Games Store on January 30, 2025. This marks another milestone in Sony’s ongoing effort to expand its audience by making its top-tier games accessible to PC players.

For those unfamiliar with Spider-Man 2, it continues the storyline from the previous titles in the series, where Peter Parker and Miles Morales, both donning the Spider-Man mantle, fight to protect New York City from an array of iconic villains. The game’s narrative delves into their personal struggles, their mentor-mentee dynamic, and the rise of major threats like Venom, Kraven the Hunter, and the Lizard, all of which contributed to its widespread acclaim on PS5.

The PC version of the game won’t just be a straight port. It will come with added enhancements to take full advantage of the platform’s power. Players can look forward to features like ray-tracing upgrades, ultra-widescreen support, and customizable graphics settings. Moreover, it will include all the post-launch content from the console version, including New Game Plus and additional suits for both Spider-Men.

The PC port is being developed by Nixxes, a studio that has gained a reputation for its work on other PlayStation-to-PC transitions, including Spider-Man: Miles Morales and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Fans of the series can rest assured that Nixxes will likely deliver a high-quality experience once again.

This move follows a broader trend from Sony, which has been actively bringing more of its exclusives to the PC market in recent years. Titles like Horizon Zero Dawn, The Last of Us Part I, and God of War have all seen successful transitions, and this latest announcement solidifies Sony’s commitment to expanding its gaming ecosystem beyond PlayStation consoles.

While there’s no new story content planned for Spider-Man 2, this PC release is sure to thrill fans who haven’t yet experienced the game and those who want to replay it with the added visual upgrades and customization options that a powerful gaming PC can offer.
