The world of gaming peripherals is vast, with countless options vying for the attention of discerning gamers. However, not everyone needs to chase the latest and greatest, which is where the current discount on the slightly older Logitech G Pro X Superlight comes into play.

This first-generation mouse is currently on sale at an almost all-time low of $99.99 at Amazon ($60 off) for the Black variant. It’s worth noting that this is not the all-time record low price – we’ve seen it dip as low as $89.99 in December 2023. You can also snag the White variant of the Logitech G Pro X Superlight at Walmart for $101.95 or $119.99 at Best Buy.

Designed as a step-down from Logitech’s popular G Pro Wireless, the original G Pro X Superlight was a right-handed mouse that struck a delicate balance between performance and practicality. Boasting a speedy Hero 25,600 DPI sensor and thumb buttons along the left edge, this sleek peripheral was equally at home in the workplace or the gaming arena.

One of the standout features of the G Pro X Superlight was its minimalist approach, eschewing the flashy LEDs and honeycomb-shaped hole patterns that many ultralight mice rely on to shed precious grams. Despite this, the mouse tipped the scales at a featherweight 63 grams, with the option to shave off an additional three grams by removing the magnetic plate covering the included 2.4GHz USB receiver.

While the lack of LEDs and matte-textured design won over many fans, the original Superlight wasn’t without its drawbacks. One of the most notable was its reliance on the aging Micro USB port for charging, a decision that felt outdated even at the time of its release. Thankfully, Logitech addressed this oversight in the newer Superlight 2, opting for the more modern and convenient USB-C connector.

The latest iteration also boasts a 4kHz response rate and the new Hero 2 sensor, catering to the demanding needs of the esports crowd. However, these enhancements come at a premium, with the Superlight 2 commanding a steep $159 price tag.

For those seeking a balance between performance and value, the discounted first-gen G Pro X Superlight presents a compelling option. While it may lack the cutting-edge features of its successor, it remains a capable and comfortable companion for both work and play, offering a taste of Logitech’s renowned quality at a more palatable price point.
