LinkedIn’s annual Jobs on the Rise list in India was released yesterday, highlighting the 15 fastest growing jobs in India over the last five years based on LinkedIn data.

The world of work is rapidly changing, from digitization to hybrid offices, driven by the COVID-19 pandemic and the required innovation that has followed. Many workers have abandoned their employment in pursuit of something new as industries have been turned upside down. These changes have sparked the “GreatReshuffle,” leaving workers unsure of where the workplace is headed and what role they want to play in it.

“Our 2022 LinkedIn Jobs on the Rise list uncovers the 15 fastest-growing job titles over the past five years. No matter what stage of your career you’re in, this list provides insight into where the workforce is heading and where the long-term opportunity lies — whether you’re looking to make a career pivot, get back into the workforce or invest in skills that will prepare you for the future.”

“To put together this year’s rankings, we looked at LinkedIn data to calculate the job titles experiencing the highest growth rates from January 2017 through July 2021. To be ranked, jobs needed to see consistent growth across our membership base, as well as have grown to a meaningful size by 2021.”

This list of 2022 LinkedIn Jobs is intended to serve as a resource for you. You’ll find information on typical years of experience prior to landing the job, top locations hiring, and more under each job title. If working remotely is a must for you, you’ll also be able to see what remote job availability looks like in each position. If you’re wanting to break into a new field, look at the required abilities to see how you can apply your previous experience.

Most notably, this list is not limited to job searchers. It’s a sneak peek at what’s ahead: figuring out where the future of work is headed and where long-term opportunities exist.

Check below the 15 growing job titles in India. But first, look at LinkedIn’s testing methodology and Job Insights.

To estimate a growth rate for each job title, LinkedIn Economic Graph experts studied millions of jobs launched by LinkedIn members between January 1, 2017 and July 31, 2021. A job title had to exhibit steady growth across the company’s membership base, as well as have expanded to a significant size by 2021, in order to be ranked.

Similar job titles were grouped and rated together at various levels of leadership. Jobs whose employment was controlled by a small handful of companies in each country were also removed, as were internships, volunteer opportunities, interim roles, and student roles.

Actual data factors for each job title are based on LinkedIn profiles of members who hold the title and/or open positions in the country for that title. Remote job posts are based on positions that were flagged as “remote” by the poster or had comparable keywords from October 2020 to October 2021.

The top skills most specific to each title among individuals who have ever held that title on LinkedIn were used to generate the skills data. The average years of work experience held previous to starting in the featured title for members hired during the chosen time frame were used to compute years of experience. From January 1, 2021, to July 31, 2021, the top industries were determined by the industries of the companies that employed the most members for each job.

The gender split was estimated by dividing the total number of members with known gender in each job by the number of members with known gender currently in each job (assuming there existed meaningful gender data). Top recruiting locations in 2021 were defined as the regions or cities with the highest percentage of each job title.

The share of transitions from another occupation into the featured job was used to identify the most prevalent transitions. Internships, volunteer posts, interim roles, and student roles were removed, and identical job titles were grouped together across seniority levels.

And now is the time for 15 growing job titles in India, check them below.
