Adding more options for creative professionals and business users, Lenovo is set to launch two new laptops this summer, both equipped with Qualcomm‘s latest Snapdragon X Elite processors.
The Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9 caters to the creative crowd, boasting a sleek design and impressive specs. This thin and light laptop (weighing only 2.8 pounds and measuring 0.51 inches thick) features a 14.5-inch OLED touchscreen display, perfect for photo and video editing. Powering the Yoga Slim is the Snapdragon X Elite chip, which promises efficient performance. The laptop can be configured with up to 32GB of memory and 1TB of solid-state storage, ensuring smooth multitasking and ample storage space for creative projects.
Connectivity is well-covered with three USB-C ports supporting Power Delivery and DisplayPort 1.4, allowing for easy charging and connecting external displays. Security is addressed with a 1080p IR webcam that supports Windows Hello facial recognition. Adding to its appeal, Lenovo claims the Yoga Slim 7x boasts a multi-day battery life, potentially putting it on par with the highly regarded MacBook Pro in terms of endurance.

For business users, Lenovo offers the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6. This business-oriented laptop prioritizes functionality and durability, while still maintaining a portable design (weighing 2.71 pounds and 0.67 inches thick). The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 shares the same Snapdragon X Elite processor and storage options as its Yoga counterpart, but ups the memory configuration to a maximum of 64GB.

The display options cater to diverse business needs, with users having the choice between a standard IPS display (offering up to 400 nits of brightness), an IPS touchscreen display, or a premium OLED display that covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, also boasting 400 nits of brightness.
The ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 comes equipped with a fingerprint reader for added security, alongside a comprehensive selection of ports including two USB-A ports, two USB4 Type-C ports, an HDMI 2.1 port, and an audio jack. Similar to the Yoga Slim, the ThinkPad promises multi-day battery life on a single charge.
The Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9 is expected to start at a competitive price of $1,199, while the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 starts slightly higher at $1,699. Both laptops are scheduled to be available for purchase in June 2024.
These new Lenovo laptops powered by Qualcomm processors offer intriguing options for both creative professionals and business users. The Yoga Slim 7x 14 Gen 9 focuses on portability, a beautiful OLED display, and long battery life, while the ThinkPad T14s Gen 6 prioritizes functionality, security, and a wider range of display options. With their arrival in June, these laptops will add to the growing market of Windows on ARM devices, giving users more choices to consider when selecting a new laptop.
