JBL wants to turn every house party, balcony get-together, or impromptu living-room jam session into a karaoke stage, and its latest launches are built exactly for that. The company has announced the JBL PartyBox On-the-Go 2 Plus portable speaker alongside the new JBL EasySing Mics and the EasySing Mic Mini, all powered by on-device AI that can strip vocals from any song in real time so you can step right into the spotlight.
At the heart of this lineup is JBL’s EasySing technology, which uses AI to separate vocals from a track on the fly, letting you lower or completely mute the original singer’s voice at the tap of a button. It’s not just about turning songs into backing tracks: EasySing also adds pitch support, natural reverb, echo, and noise suppression so your voice sounds more polished and present, almost like you’re running through a mini vocal processor instead of just a Bluetooth speaker. The idea is to shift music listening from a passive experience to a shared, interactive one, whether you’re belting out duets or letting the entire group take turns at the mic.
The new PartyBox On-the-Go 2 Plus sits right in that sweet spot between a portable Bluetooth speaker and a full-blown party rig. It delivers 100W of output through dual silk-dome tweeters and a 5.25-inch woofer, which should translate to punchy bass and crisp highs for both music playback and vocals. JBL pairs that sound with its signature lightshow, with LED effects that react to the music and give your living room or backyard a mini-club vibe without any extra setup. The speaker now comes with a redesigned flexible handle in the center and a thicker, wider shoulder strap, making it more practical to carry to house parties, terraces, or even short outdoor trips.
Battery life is clearly tuned for long sessions. The PartyBox On-the-Go 2 Plus promises up to 15 hours of playtime, and the battery is replaceable, which is rare even in this category. If you’re rushing to get the party going, a quick 10-minute charge can deliver around 80 minutes of playback, which is handy for last-minute plans. The IPX4 splashproof rating means it should easily survive the occasional drink spill or light splashes near the pool, though it’s not meant for full-on water submersion.
On the connectivity side, JBL is leaning into multi-speaker setups too. The PartyBox On-the-Go 2 Plus supports Auracast, so you can pair it with other compatible JBL speakers for bigger, more room-filling sound. Everything from sound EQ to lighting effects can be tweaked via the JBL One app, letting you adjust how your vocals sit in the mix or how dramatic you want the lightshow to be. Out of the box, the speaker ships with one EasySing Mic, so you’re ready for karaoke from day one without hunting for compatible microphones.
The EasySing Mics build the other half of JBL’s new ecosystem. Sold as a pair, these wireless mics bring EasySing’s AI vocal removal and enhancement directly into the microphones themselves, essentially turning almost any compatible JBL speaker into a karaoke-ready setup. You can dial in how much of the original vocals you want to keep—25%, 50%, or completely off—so you can either lightly sing along with the artist or fully take over the track. The mics use a cardioid pickup pattern to focus on your voice and cut down on room noise, while the EasySing algorithm layers Voice Boost, reverb, echo, and noise suppression for a cleaner, more confident vocal sound.
Each EasySing Mic set has a claimed battery life of up to 10 hours and supports a 30-meter wireless range, which is more than enough for most homes and party halls. Connection is designed to be plug-and-play thanks to the included USB-C dongle, so you can quickly hook them up to compatible JBL speakers without dealing with pairing complexity. If you’re particular about how your voice sounds, you can go into the JBL One app and tweak EQ settings to better suit your tone or environment. JBL says the EasySing Mics will work with several of its recent PartyBox models, including the PartyBox On-the-Go 2, Encore 2, Encore Essential 2, Club 120, Stage 320, 520, and 720, which makes this a fairly flexible add-on if you already own one of those speakers.
For creators and anyone who wants something even more portable, JBL is also launching the EasySing Mic Mini. This is a smaller, pocketable microphone system that still packs AI-powered vocal removal, Voice Boost, and AI noise suppression into a more compact form factor. It’s aimed not just at home karaoke but also at content creation, quick recording sessions, and casual singing on the go, where you might not want to carry a full-size mic kit. The Mic Mini comes in a compact carrying case that can slip into a bag or even a larger pocket, and you can hold the mic with its ring handle or go hands-free using the magnetic clip.
The EasySing Mic Mini offers up to 6 hours of mic playtime, which should be enough for a long recording block or a night of casual singing with friends. It connects via a USB-C dongle and is compatible with a wide range of JBL speakers, from smaller portables like the Go 5, Grip, Flip 7, and Charge 6 to larger models like the Xtreme 5, Boombox 4, and every PartyBox through aux input (though you’ll need to bring your own aux cable). That broad compatibility gives the Mic Mini an edge if you already own a JBL portable and simply want to add AI-powered karaoke or cleaner voice capture without replacing your speaker.
JBL is timing these launches for the spring and early summer, when outdoor parties, travel, and get-togethers typically ramp up. The PartyBox On-the-Go 2 Plus is available for pre-order starting March 12, 2026, at $419.95 on JBL’s official website, with retail availability scheduled for April 5, 2026. The EasySing Mics, priced at $199.95 for the pair, go on pre-sale the same day and are expected to hit shelves on April 12, 2026. The EasySing Mic Mini will follow slightly later, with pre-orders beginning April 12, 2026, at $179.95 and an on-shelf date of May 10, 2026.
What JBL is really doing here is building an ecosystem rather than just shipping another party speaker. Instead of relying on basic Bluetooth playback and generic mics, the company is betting on on-device AI to make karaoke feel less like a gimmick and more like an integrated feature that works with any song you already love. By offering both a powerful portable PartyBox and standalone AI mics that work across a wide range of speakers, JBL is giving users multiple ways to tap into EasySing, whether they want an all-in-one new party rig or just a smarter set of microphones for their existing setup. For anyone who’s ever tried to cobble together a karaoke system from YouTube instrumentals and cheap wireless mics, this lineup is clearly aimed at making that whole process a lot more seamless—and a lot more fun.
