Action photography and videography enthusiasts have something to get excited about with the launch of Insta360’s latest 360-degree camera, the X4. This powerful device not only offers stunning 8K video recording capabilities but also incorporates a groundbreaking removable lens guard, promising to revolutionize the way adventurers capture their exploits.

At the core of the X4’s appeal lies its ability to shoot video in breathtaking 8K resolution at up to 30 frames per second. This exceptional clarity and detail will undoubtedly elevate the viewing experience, especially when the footage is displayed on larger screens or viewed in virtual reality environments. Panning around 360-degree videos on platforms like YouTube or precisely cropping out desired perspectives from immersive recordings will become a seamless and visually captivating endeavor.

Complementing the impressive video capabilities, the X4 boasts a robust 2,290mAh battery, providing up to 75 minutes of 8K recording time or an extended 135 minutes when capturing 5.7K footage. This extended battery life ensures that users can fully immerse themselves in their adventures without the constant worry of running out of power.

Insta360 has further expanded the X4’s versatility by offering additional recording modes. Alongside the stellar 8K resolution, the camera supports 5.7K at 60 frames per second and 4K at an impressive 100 frames per second. For those preferring a more traditional shooting experience, the X4 retains the ability to capture footage from a single lens, delivering 4K video at up to 60 frames per second.

Enhancing the user experience, the X4 features a larger 2.5-inch touchscreen crafted from scratch-resistant Corning Gorilla Glass, ensuring seamless navigation and framing even in challenging environments. Additionally, the camera inherits the impressive 72-megapixel still image capture capabilities from its predecessor, the X3.

One of the standout features of the X4 is the introduction of Me Mode, which captures 180-degree video while conveniently concealing the selfie stick from view. Unlike the X3, the X4’s Me Mode is available in both 4K and 2.7K resolutions, catering to a wider range of user preferences and sharing platforms.

However, the true game-changer is the X4’s removable lens guard, a first for Insta360’s action cameras. This innovative feature provides an extra layer of protection for fragile lenses, allowing users to venture into harsher weather conditions and environments without compromising the integrity of their gear. Unlike some aftermarket solutions for the X3, Insta360 assures that the removable lens guard will not interfere with the seamless 360-degree stitching process, ensuring a flawless immersive experience.

With its impressive 8K capabilities, extended battery life, and groundbreaking removable lens guard, the X4 promises to be a game-changer in the world of action photography and videography, empowering adventurers to capture their exploits with unparalleled clarity and durability.
