Attention, South Park fans! The outrageous animated series is back with another streaming special, this time taking aim at the Hollywood-hyped weight loss drug Ozempic. “South Park: The End of Obesity” is now available to stream exclusively on Paramount Plus.

The new special centers around the fictional Colorado town’s experience with the weight loss craze. Eric Cartman, the show’s signature foul-mouthed and overweight character, finds himself denied access to the miracle drug. Furious and frustrated, Cartman enlists his friends Kyle, Stan, Butters, and Kenny in a scheme to get his hands on the pills.

A glimpse into the madness is offered in the trailer, where Cartman stands lamenting his size in front of a mirror while his friends, sporting lab coats and goggles, seemingly conduct experiments to prepare him for the drugs. “We’ve been out navigating the American healthcare system,” announces a bewildered Butters, “I almost died!“

This isn’t South Park‘s first foray into the world of streaming specials. Paramount Plus has already released six others, including “South Park: Post COVID,” its sequel “The Return of COVID,” specials lampooning the “Streaming Wars,” a venture into the “Panderverse,” and the recently released, self-explanatory “South Park (Not Suitable For Children).”

For those unfamiliar with the long-running series, South Park first debuted on Comedy Central in 1997 and has secured its place on television through a recent renewal that will take it through its 30th season in 2027. While the new specials reside on Paramount Plus, classic episodes can still be found on Comedy Central, along with Max and Amazon Prime’s Max Channel.

Behind the scenes, “South Park: The End of Obesity” is produced by MTV Entertainment Studios. The show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, remain heavily involved, serving as executive producers alongside Anne Garefino and Frank C. Agnone II. Eric Stough, Adrien Beard, Bruce Howell, and Vernon Chatman round out the production team.

So, how can you catch “South Park: The End of Obesity“? The special debuted today, May 24th, on Paramount Plus. The good news for curious viewers is that Paramount Plus offers a 7-day free trial, allowing you to watch the special (and potentially others) at no cost before committing to a subscription.
