Just weeks after HMD Global announced it would be launching smartphones under its own brand name after years of Nokia releases, one of the first devices appears poised to hit the market in a matter of days.
The HMD Pulse Pro, a mid-range smartphone that was extensively leaked online earlier this month, may be launching as soon as tomorrow, April 24th. This surprising potential release date emerged after a premature product listing for the device briefly appeared on the website of Finnish retailer Gigantti before being promptly taken down.
While the listing was clearly uploaded in error and swiftly removed, it provided a tantalizing glimpse at the Pulse Pro’s specifications and pricing details. Most notably, the ill-fated page listed the Pulse Pro with a launch date of April 24th – suggesting the handset could drop imminently if the date was accurately published.

Gigantti’s listing corroborated many of the leaked specifications that had already emerged about the HMD Pulse Pro. The device appears to be equipped with a 6.56-inch 720p IPS LCD display with a 90Hz refresh rate, running on the Unisoc T606 system-on-a-chip paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.
In the camera department, the Pulse Pro shapes up to offer a 50-megapixel main sensor complemented by a 2-megapixel depth sensor, as well as an impressive 50-megapixel selfie camera on the front. Keeping the lights on is a capacious 5,000mAh battery.
Though Gigantti’s page has been scrubbed from the internet, it did reveal one last crucial detail – pricing. The listing showed the Pulse Pro being offered for €179 in Finland (around $190.70 in USD), positioning it squarely as an affordable mid-range offering if accurate across markets.
Of course, the legitimacy of both the specifications and the April 24th launch date contained in the pulled listing remain unverified as of now. However, HMD Global may not keep fans in suspense for long if the apparent slip-up foreshadows an imminent announcement.
While HMD’s product plans are still shrouded in some secrecy after its Nokia brand transition, we know the company has pledged to provide two major Android updates and three years of security patches for its devices. Consumers will hope that comes attached to the latest Android 14 release for the Pulse Pro out of the box.
