GTA 6, the highly anticipated next installment in Rockstar Games’ iconic series, has recently made headlines with a fresh update on its release date. Amidst rumors of potential delays, fans have been eagerly awaiting any news regarding the game’s launch. Here’s what we know so far.

As one of the most eagerly awaited video games of all time, GTA 6 has been under intense scrutiny from fans and industry insiders alike. Rockstar Games, known for their meticulous attention to detail and groundbreaking storytelling, typically releases only one title per console generation, heightening the anticipation for each new installment.

With the scale and ambition of GTA 6 promising to surpass its predecessors, rumors of potential delays have been circulating within the gaming community. However, Take-Two Interactive, the game’s publisher, has moved to allay fears, affirming that the previously announced release window of late 2025 remains intact.

In an interview with IGN, Take-Two Interactive CEO Strauss Zelnick stated, “We do feel highly confident that we’ll deliver [Grand Theft Auto VI] in the fall of 2025,” providing reassurance to eager fans eagerly awaiting the game’s arrival.

GTA 6 promises to thrust players into the criminal underworld of Vice City, following the exploits of protagonists Lucia and Jason. A recent trailer released as part of Rockstar Games’ 25th-anniversary celebrations offered a tantalizing glimpse into the chaos and mayhem awaiting players.

The trailer showcased the trademark blend of gritty realism and off-the-wall humor that has become synonymous with the franchise. From alligators attacking convenience stores to streakers causing chaos, the trailer hinted at the wild ride that awaits players in the latest installment.

The release of the trailer coincided with Rockstar Games’ 25th anniversary, a milestone that founder Sam Houser marked with a heartfelt message to fans. In his statement, Houser expressed gratitude to the players who have supported the company over the years and teased the upcoming release of GTA 6.

GTA 6 is scheduled for release on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S in late 2025, the game promises to push the boundaries of interactive entertainment once again.
