Google has just unveiled its latest flagship smartphones, the Pixel 9 Pro and the Pixel 9 Pro XL. While these two devices share an impressive array of features, the key difference lies in their screen size. The Pro XL boasts a larger 6.8-inch display compared to the Pro’s 6.3-inch panel.

Beyond this distinction, these phones are essentially identical powerhouses. Under the hood, they’re equipped with Google’s cutting-edge Tensor G4 chip, paired with a generous 16GB of RAM. This formidable combination is designed to handle the demands of Google’s advanced AI software, which is deeply integrated into every aspect of the phone, from photography to text messaging.
To sweeten the deal, Google is including a year-long subscription to its Google One AI Premium Plan with both models. This grants users unlimited access to the full potential of Gemini, Google’s powerful AI language model.
Photography enthusiasts will be thrilled with the camera upgrades. Both phones feature a 42MP front camera for sharper selfies and a triple rear camera system consisting of a 50MP main sensor, a 48MP ultrawide sensor, and a 48MP telephoto sensor. The camera software has also been refined, with new features like 8K video enhancement, macro focus, and improved Night Sight. Of course, Google’s AI magic is present here too, with tools like Magic Eraser and Magic Editor.
The displays on both models are top-notch, featuring Super Actua OLED technology, a variable refresh rate of up to 120Hz, and peak brightness of 3,000 nits. They’re also protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for added durability.
Both the Pixel 9 Pro and Pro XL come in four color options: Porcelain, Rose Quartz, Hazel, and Obsidian. Pricing starts at $999 for the Pixel 9 Pro and $1,099 for the Pro XL. While storage options range from 128GB to 1TB, the RAM is fixed at 16GB across the board.
