Google‘s AI chatbot, Gemini, has finally arrived in Europe and the UK. After its initial launch in the US back in February, the wait is over for those across the pond.
Remember Bard, that AI chatbot Google introduced last year? Well, it’s gotten a makeover and a new name – Gemini. This powerful tool is designed to be your one-stop shop for creativity and productivity.
Whether you’re a writer battling writer’s block, a student drowning in research, or an entrepreneur brainstorming ideas, Gemini can lend a helping hand. It can whip up summaries of lengthy documents, craft compelling written content, and even generate custom images to bring your ideas to life.
Need more info on a photo you just found? No problem! Gemini can search the web for you and provide additional details. Plus, being a Google product means it has access to your Gmail and Google Drive, allowing for a seamless flow of information.
Android users have two ways to access Gemini. There’s a dedicated app available for download on the Play Store. Alternatively, you can switch from Google Assistant to Gemini within the existing Google Assistant app. Just say “Hey Google” and Gemini will be there to assist you.
For iPhone users, things are a little different. There’s no standalone Gemini app yet. Instead, you’ll find it nestled within the main Google app as a new tab. Don’t worry if you don’t see it right away – Google is rolling it out to all iOS users over the coming weeks.
With Gemini speaking a multitude of languages, including English, French, Spanish, German, and many more, the communication barrier is a thing of the past. However, there are a couple of limitations to keep in mind. Currently, the mobile apps only work with personal Google accounts and don’t support Gemini’s business, enterprise, or education add-ons.
