If you’ve been waiting for a reason to dive into the latest official Formula 1 game, here’s one that’s hard to ignore: the physical editions of F1 25 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X have popped up at $44.99 on Amazon — down from a list price of $69.99, a tidy $25 off. That’s a roughly 35–36% discount on a brand-new, full-price release.

F1 25 is Codemasters’ latest official Formula 1 sim, published by EA Sports and released May 30, 2025. It’s built around two headline moves this year: a revamped My Team 2.0 management mode and the return of the Braking Point story mode (this is the third chapter). Across the board, reviewers and EA’s own materials point to sharper visuals, refined physics, and some fresh campaign/management mechanics intended to broaden the game beyond pure lap-time chasing.

My Team has always been the place where racing fans who like strategy and team building spend most of their off-track hours. This year’s My Team 2.0 adds new owner-style decisions, a perks/skill tree and deeper off-track management choices — essentially shifting some emphasis from being “team principal-lite” to feeling actually in charge of a racing organization. Meanwhile, Braking Point returns with a third chapter that reviewers describe as surprisingly spicy narrative content that helps the game feel like more than a lap simulator. If you like single-player progression and decisions that affect story and team performance, these are the two anchors of F1 25.

If you want a shelf copy, care about My Team and Braking Point, and don’t need any Deluxe-edition bonuses, $44.99 for F1 25 on PS5 or Xbox Series X is a smart buy — especially given the game’s generally positive reception and the usual speed with which new releases drop to this ballpark for physical editions. If you need the extras or prefer digital, weigh it against digital store promos and EA Play offers.
