This week at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, EcoFlow unveiled its latest innovation in home energy management: the Oasis system. This AI-driven solution aims to revolutionize how we interact with and control our home’s energy, promising a future where managing power is as simple as asking your home AI for advice on maximizing solar energy use.
Simplifying home energy management
Energy management within the smart home context has traditionally been a complex affair, involving high costs and a steep learning curve for setup and operation. EcoFlow’s Oasis is designed to slash through these barriers. The system leverages AI to not only monitor but also automate the management of your home’s energy consumption, production, and storage.

Oasis integrates seamlessly with EcoFlow’s existing lineup of power solutions like the Delta 3 Plus and River 3 Plus, which are portable solar generators, and the Smart Home Panel 2, which offers detailed control over electrical circuits. This integration allows for real-time monitoring and adjustment based on the energy dynamics of your home.

AI at your service
The heart of Oasis is its AI assistant, which can respond to natural language queries. Imagine asking, “How much energy did I use today?” or “Set up the best power backup solution for an upcoming storm,” and having the system not only answer but also take action. Peter Linghu, EcoFlow’s director of product strategy and development, emphasized that the system uses predictive analytics to anticipate needs, like automatically switching to backup power during outages or charging batteries ahead of predicted bad weather.

This AI not only manages but also optimizes your energy use. It could suggest running your dishwasher or air conditioner during times when energy prices dip or when your solar panels are producing excess power, thus saving money and reducing grid dependency. Users have the option to automate these suggestions or just receive notifications for manual implementation.
Compatibility
One of the standout features of Oasis is its compatibility with not only EcoFlow devices but also a range of third-party equipment. It supports integration with popular smart thermostats like Ecobee and Nest, and energy-monitoring smart plugs from brands like Shelly and TP-Link, plus any device compatible with the Matter protocol, which is becoming pivotal in smart home ecosystems. This broad compatibility means that Oasis can work within almost any existing smart home setup, making it versatile for both new installations and retrofits.
Looking ahead, EcoFlow teased the upcoming Ocean Pro, a grid-tied solar battery solution aimed at the US market later this year.
