The image is an early game concept art for 'Destiny Rising.' It depicts a futuristic, intense battle scene with several armored characters wielding weapons and engaging in combat. The background features a large, technologically advanced structure with blue lighting and electrical discharges, suggesting a high-energy environment. The characters are dynamically posed, indicating movement and action, with some leaping or running towards the central structure. The scene is set in a rainy, industrial setting, adding to the dramatic atmosphere. The text 'DESTINY RISING' is displayed in the upper left corner, and 'EARLY GAME CONCEPT ART' is written at the bottom.

Destiny: Rising is set to bring the world of Destiny to mobile devices, and it’s making waves already. This new free-to-play RPG shooter, developed by NetEase Games under Bungie’s guidance, transports players to an alternate timeline of the Destiny universe. Set in the post-Dark Age era, long before the Guardians and The Last City, players will explore a time of rebuilding and hope after the collapse of human civilization.

Unlike Destiny 2, where players create their own Guardian, Destiny: Rising introduces hero characters, both familiar ones like Ikora Rey and brand-new faces. Each character will have their own unique abilities and backstory, offering variety in gameplay. Players can dive into PvE missions, co-op strikes, and competitive PvP modes, experiencing classic Destiny elements alongside fresh features like mythic weapon classes and new biomes such as Jiangshi and the Red Sea Rift.

You’ll also be able to switch between first-person and third-person views, making gameplay more dynamic. The game promises to bring iconic Destiny moments to mobile, with exotic weapons and mythic items helping players fight familiar enemies like the Hive, Fallen, and Vex. The narrative follows Lightbearers, resurrected by Ghosts, who are trying to reclaim Earth and secure humanity’s future.

A big question looming over the game is its monetization model, which NetEase hasn’t disclosed yet. However, players can test Destiny: Rising starting with a closed alpha test on November 1, 2024, for both iOS and Android. If you’re excited to dive in, registration is open on the game’s official site.
