The wait is finally over for fans eagerly anticipating the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover‘s heart-wrenching novel, “It Ends With Us.” As the August 9th release date looms, the book has reclaimed its spot atop Amazon’s bestseller list, with the paperback version currently available at a substantial 35% discount, retailing at $10.98 – a tempting $6.01 off the original price. For collectors, the special edition is also on offer at $17.40, marking an $11.27 saving.

Hoover’s gripping tale follows the life of Lily, a woman who has built a successful business in Boston, only to find her world unraveling as her relationship takes an ominous turn. The narrative weaves between Lily’s present struggles and the haunting echoes of her traumatic childhood, deftly exploring the complexities of domestic abuse and the resilience of the human spirit.

The journey to the big screen has been fraught with delays and setbacks. Originally slated for a 2023 release, the film’s premiere was pushed back to early 2024 due to the Hollywood strikes that disrupted production schedules across the industry. Even after rescheduling for February, the release date continued to shift, first to June and now, finally, to August 9th.

Fans have voiced concerns over early official photos showing Lily’s outfits, which they feel don’t match the “disheveled” portrayal in the book. However, Hoover has dismissed these criticisms, emphasizing that the narrative’s essence lies in profound conversations and emotional depths, not superficial details.

“I don’t remember describing outfits at all,” Hoover remarked. “I don’t care what they have on. In my head, it’s about the conversation they’re having and the story. It’s the same way in the movie. You’ve seen a couple of outfits that are completely out of context. I’m not worried about it.”
