Both deliver the spectacular noise cancellation Bose is known for, reducing even the loudest environments to a faint hum. Their audio performance also punches far above their size class, with clear treble and smooth, powerful bass. Even the charging cases are cross-compatible between models.

Mostly small quality-of-life upgrades for calls and tuning the listening experience. In terms of sheer performance-per-dollar, both generations of QuietComfort Earbuds are hard to beat at these discounted prices. The minor improvements of the Ultra Earbuds may not warrant an upgrade for every existing owner.
