Belkin recently initiated a global recall of its BoostCharge Pro Fast Wireless Charger for Apple Watch + Power Bank 10K (model BPD005) due to a serious safety risk. The recall, announced in early November 2024, was triggered by a manufacturing defect in the device’s lithium-ion battery, which could overheat and pose a fire hazard.
The device, launched in May 2023, was marketed as a versatile power bank combining a 10,000 mAh battery, a 20W USB-C port, and a fast-charging puck for the Apple Watch. However, the defect has led to concerns about user safety, with risks including burns, property damage, or even more severe injuries in case of a fire.

- Sold between: May 2023 and June 2024 via various online and retail channels globally.
- Identifying numbers: Serial numbers starting from 57V00DK4300001 to 57V10DK4E03973.

What should you do?
Belkin urges consumers to:
- Stop using the device immediately: Disconnect the power bank from any charging or connected devices.
- Store safely: Keep it in a dry, cool place away from flammable materials.
- Request a refund: Visit Belkin’s Recall Page to submit a claim for a full refund. Alternatively, you can contact their customer support for assistance.
