Asus just announced a new Vivobook S 15 (S5507), and this one’s a bit different. Instead of the usual Intel chip, it runs on Qualcomm‘s new Snapdragon X-series processor. This means a few things: better battery life, super-fast AI stuff for creative apps, and a design that’s thin and light.

The display is still the same gorgeous OLED screen from the previous version, but Asus trimmed down the edges for a more modern look. Inside, you can pick between a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite or a 10-core X Plus processor. The Elite is the base version, so expect a slightly less powerful graphics card.

No matter which processor you choose, you’ll get a whopping 32GB of memory and a super-fast 1TB SSD for all your creative projects. Plus, there are plenty of ports to connect everything you need, including the latest USB-C and Wi-Fi 7 for crazy-fast wireless speeds.

Speaking of creative projects, Asus is launching a new app called StoryCube with this Vivobook. It uses the laptop’s AI smarts to help sort through, edit, and export your RAW photos and videos. Asus also says the Snapdragon chip will make other creative programs run smoother, like those fancy video editing tools.

This Vivobook S 15 seems perfect for artists, designers, and anyone who wants a powerful but affordable laptop to take with them on the go. It’s like the usual Vivobook series you might know, but with some serious muscle under the hood thanks to the new Snapdragon chip.

The base model with the Snapdragon X Elite processor is available for preorder now, starting at $1,299. It’ll start shipping in mid-June. There’s also a higher-end version with 32GB of memory coming to Costco for $1,399, but you’ll have to wait a bit longer for the even beefier Snapdragon X Plus model.
