Apple TV enthusiasts have reason to celebrate as the tech giant unveils the first beta version of tvOS 17.2, introducing an innovative navigation feature that promises to revolutionize the TV app.
In this latest update, Apple has rolled out a handy sidebar for effortless navigation within the TV app. This sidebar offers a seamless way to move between various sections in the app, catering to the growing array of content options. These sections encompass top-bar navigation choices, as well as channels and apps that seamlessly integrate with the TV app.
For instance, users can now easily switch between different sections like Search, Watch Now, Apple TV+, MLS Season Pass, Store, and Library using this new sidebar. What’s even more exciting is that if you’re subscribed to third-party video services through the TV app or have integrated third-party apps, they will also be conveniently accessible through this new navigation shortcut.
It’s worth noting that even with this update, tvOS 17.2 beta 1 still retains Apple’s well-known iTunes Movies and iTunes TV Shows apps. This release comes hot on the heels of Apple’s recent launch of tvOS 17.1, which introduced the exciting dialogue enhancement audio feature to all HomePod hardware when used in conjunction with Apple TV.
With the arrival of tvOS 17.2 beta, Apple is making it easier than ever for users to navigate and enjoy the diverse range of content available through the TV app, promising an enhanced and more user-friendly viewing experience.
