Season two picks up just after season one, telling the story of 20-something Máximo Gallardo (played by Enrique Arrizon), whose dream comes true when he lands the job of a lifetime as a cabana boy at the greatest resort in Acapulco, Las Colinas.

In 1985, Máximo has to deal with changes at the resort, unexpected problems at home, and a new love interest who might be able to rival the girl of his dreams. He sets his sights on becoming Diane’s right-hand man and eventually taking over the entire Las Colinas company under Don Pablo’s direction (played by Damián Alcázar). Present-day Máximo (played by Eugenio Derbez) must face some unfinished business that the younger Máximo left behind as he travels to Acapulco to make peace with Don Pablo’s recent passing.

Joining Derbez in the 10-episode second season are returning stars Arrizon, Fernando Carsa (as Memo), Damián Alcázar (as Don Pablo), Camila Perez (as Julia), Chord Overstreet (as Chad), Vanessa Bauche (as Nora), Regina Reynoso (as Sara), Raphael Alejandro (as Hugo), Jessica Collins (as Diane), Rafael Cebrián (as Hector) and Carlos Corona (as Esteban).

Produced for Apple by Lionsgate Television, 3Pas Studios, Zihuatanejo Productions, and The Tannenbaum Company, “Acapulco” is a Lionsgate Television production that takes inspiration from the box office success of 3Pas Studios and Pantelion Films, “How to Be A Latin Lover.” Austin Winsberg, Eduardo Cisneros, and Jason Shuman are the show’s creators.
