Tech giant Apple has given a first glimpse of its flagship store in Mumbai, India. Apple BKC, as it is officially called, is set to expand the company’s retail presence in India. The store’s striking artwork design has been inspired by Mumbai’s famous Kaali Peeli taxi art and features decals showcasing Apple‘s products and services. While Apple has not yet announced an opening date, local media reports suggest the Mumbai store will open soon, with sources quoting an April launch. Additionally, a second store in New Delhi is expected to open between April and June. Apple’s entry into India’s retail market has been highly anticipated for years. With a population of over 1.3 billion people, India represents a vast and largely untapped market for a technology company. Despite being one of the world’s fastest-growing smartphone markets, Apple has struggled to gain a foothold in India due to high import tariffs and local regulations.

However, in recent years, Apple has made a concerted effort to expand its presence in India. In 2020, the company launched its online store in the country, offering a range of products and services directly to Indian consumers. The move was seen as a significant step towards establishing a stronger retail presence in the country.

The upcoming opening of Apple BKC and the planned store in New Delhi mark the next phase in Apple’s India expansion plans. The company is expected to open additional stores in the country in the coming years, as it seeks to tap into India’s growing middle class and increasingly tech-savvy population.

For Indian consumers, the arrival of Apple’s retail stores is likely to be met with much excitement. The company is renowned for its sleek and stylish stores, which offer a unique shopping experience that blends technology and design. Apple’s retail stores are also known for their excellent customer service, with highly trained staff on hand to help customers with any queries or issues.

The opening of Apple’s first flagship store in Mumbai is a significant milestone for the company and represents a major step forward in its India expansion plans. As the company continues to grow its presence in the country, it is likely to become an increasingly important player in India’s rapidly evolving tech landscape.

Update April 14, 2023: Added opening dates and link of the new article for more details.
