At a high level, Claude for Healthcare is Anthropic’s attempt to answer a practical question the industry has been asking for the past two years: what does generative AI actually do in hospitals, insurers, and pharma companies once the demo is over? The answer they are betting on is fairly sober: fewer hours lost to prior authorizations, faster claims appeals, less time triaging portal messages, and better‑prepared patients walking into appointments with a clearer understanding of their own data.
