Anker’s new 100W Nano Charger is 30% lighter and 26% smaller than its predecessor

In the world of portable chargers, size matters. Anker‘s latest release, the 100W Nano Charger, is proof that big things can come in small packages — even if there’s a little give and take.

Weighing about 60 grams lighter than its predecessor, Anker’s previous compact 100W wall charger, the new Nano is a sleek, minimalistic option. But here’s the catch: to achieve this ultra-portable size, Anker had to trim down on features — namely, the number of USB ports. Instead of the dual USB-C ports and the trusty USB-A port that the older models boasted, the Nano opts for just a single USB-C port.

At $44.99, it’s available for preorder now (out of stock as of Sept. 8th) and is expected to ship in mid-September. What really makes this charger stand out is its size. The Nano is about 26 percent smaller and 30 percent lighter than Anker’s Prime 100W GaN charger — a gadget already known for its compact design. With the prongs folded, this new model is only about 17 percent larger than the AirPods Pro 2’s charging case. If you’ve got a pocket or bag that fits your AirPods, it’ll fit this charger too. Handy, right?

Anker’s also added a little twist — or rather, a matte finish. The prongs now have a textured surface that Anker says will help keep the charger securely plugged into outlets. They claim this upgrade will prevent that frustrating slip-out situation we’ve all experienced.

Now, let’s talk about practicality. The 100W Nano is undeniably impressive for its size and power output, but with only one USB-C port, you might find yourself juggling chargers if you’re powering more than just your laptop. It’s a tradeoff — portability for versatility. If you’re someone who thrives on simplicity and prefers to carry less weight, the Nano might just be your new best friend. But if you’re a multi-device user on the go, you’ll want to weigh your options.

It’s a neat little powerhouse, though — and for many, that might be enough.
