For students always on the go, finding time to dive into a novel can be a challenge. Amazon’s latest reading platform, Kindle Vella, offers a solution – bite-sized fiction that can be consumed in quick episodes, perfect for those spare moments between classes or study sessions. And in a move sure to excite budget-conscious bookworms, Kindle Vella is now free for Prime Student members until August 29th.

Launched in April 2021, Kindle Vella puts a modern spin on serialized storytelling, allowing readers to immerse themselves in stories one episode at a time. The mobile-focused platform covers a range of genres from romance to sci-fi, with new tales hitting virtual shelves daily. Authors retain the ability to interact directly with readers through polls and comments, creating a unique feedback loop that can influence where the story goes next.

“Kindle Vella makes it easy for students to tap into quick, entertaining reads whenever they want, no matter where they are,” explains Virginia Milner, senior manager of the program at Amazon. “We’re excited to offer Prime Student members free access to Kindle Vella’s ever-expanding library.“

The Prime Student offer unlocks unlimited free reading across Kindle Vella’s entire catalog. Typically, readers gain access to the first few episodes gratis as a preview, then purchase tokens to unlock additional installments. For Prime Students, however, all episodes are fair game through August 29th with no token expenditure required.

The free reading promotion adds extra value to Prime Student‘s existing perks like free shipping, Prime Video streaming, exclusive deals and discounts, and more – all for just $7.49 per month or $69 annually after a 6-month free trial. At half the cost of a regular Prime membership, Prime Student caters to the unique needs and budgets of college-aged consumers.

So whether killing time between lectures or relaxing after a long study session, Prime Student members can now immerse themselves in Kindle Vella‘s wealth of bite-sized fiction at no extra cost. A veritable literary buffet awaits for those looking to make the most of their reading minutes.
