Google’s next foray into the foldable market might do more than just bend the rules—it could redefine the palette. Leaked renders obtained by Android Headlines show the Pixel 10 Pro Fold in two fresh hues: a light, pistachio-like “Jade” and a soft, silvery-blue “Moonstone” — with no traditional Obsidian (black) or Porcelain (white) on offer this time around. It’s a bold departure from the neutral tones fans have come to expect, and if these leaks hold true, Google is clearly ready to make blue (and green!) the new black.
When Google unveiled its first foldable, the Pixel Fold, on May 10, 2023, it did so in two tame finishes—Obsidian and Porcelain—echoing a long-standing Pixel tradition of neutral colorways. Its successor, the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, stuck with this safe palette, offering users the choice of sleek black or stark white. But in a smartphone market increasingly crowded with color options—from pastel pinks to neon gradients—Google may finally be ready to inject some vibrancy into its flagship foldable.
The leaked images portray a serene, almost pistachio-green “Jade” variant and a cool, reflective “Moonstone” that leans towards periwinkle. Both finishes sport the same glossy hinge and polished camera bar introduced on the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, but the new color pop makes the device feel distinctly more playful. In the renders, the inner 8.0‑inch OLED display retains its minimalist bezel, while the cover screen’s slim borders and matching colored chassis underscore how seamlessly these hues wrap the whole phone.
Color isn’t the only thing getting an upgrade. Recent rumors suggest the Pixel 10 Pro Fold will sport a slightly larger 6.4‑inch cover display—up from 6.3 inches last year—which means slimmer bezels rather than a bulkier footprint. Inside, Google is said to boost battery capacity to around 5,015mAh, add Qi2 wireless charging support at up to 23W, and introduce a new 1TB storage tier to complement existing options up to 512GB. Performance should also get a lift courtesy of the Tensor G5 chipset on a 3nm node, promising better efficiency and fewer thermal throttling issues.
Perhaps the most intriguing rumor—shared again by Android Headlines—is that the Pixel 10 Pro Fold could achieve an IP68 rating for both dust and water resistance, making it the first foldable to promise complete dustproofing. Foldables have traditionally suffered in durability tests, so if Google nails a fully sealed hinge, it could set a new benchmark for the entire category.
All signs point to an official reveal on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, during Google’s annual “Made by Google” event. The company has already confirmed the date and teased the Pixel 10 lineup. Expect the Pixel 10, Pixel 10 Pro, Pixel 10 Pro XL, and this potentially vibrant Pro Fold to share the stage, alongside updates to Wear OS and maybe even a fresh Pixel Watch.
Google won’t be alone in leaning into palette play. Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold7 is rumored to launch in “Jet Black,” “Silver Shadow,” and “Blue Shadow,” plus a potential “Green Mint” exclusive online. Meanwhile, Oppo and Huawei have experimented with sunset gradients and lime greens. Against this backdrop, Google’s choice of Jade and Moonstone feels like a smart, if subtle, balance—just enough color to stand out without veering into novelty.
