The OnePlus Buds Pro 2, the latest offering from the smartphone manufacturer, is set to hit the international market on February 16th. With a price tag of $179 (£179/€179), these truly wireless earbuds are designed to deliver a high-end audio experience with a range of innovative features.

One of the most notable features of the Buds Pro 2 is the support for head-tracked spatial audio. When used with the OnePlus 11, the earbuds are capable of tracking the movement of the wearer’s head to create an audio experience that feels like the sound is coming from a fixed point in space. This feature, which is similar to what is offered by competitors such as Apple‘s AirPods and Samsung‘s Galaxy Buds Pro, is expected to take the audio experience to the next level.

OnePlus has put a lot of effort into ensuring the sound quality of the Buds Pro 2 is top-notch. The earbuds feature a dual-driver design that combines 6mm and 11mm drivers to deliver deep, full, and textured dynamic bass with crisp and well-balanced highs. The earbuds offer users the ability to choose from four different sound profiles, including a default profile, to get the perfect sound signature.

Battery life has been improved over the original Buds Pro, with total battery life including the case now up to 39 hours with noise cancelling turned off and 25 hours with noise cancelling on. With the earbuds alone, users can expect up to six hours of playback with noise cancelling on. The Buds Pro 2 also includes a transparency mode that allows the wearer to hear the world around them.

In addition to the impressive sound quality and battery life, the Buds Pro 2 also boasts a range of other features that set it apart from its competitors. The earbuds have noise cancellation of up to 48dB with three different intensity levels, the ability to connect to two devices simultaneously, and an ear-scanning feature that creates a tailored listening profile for the wearer’s ears. The earbuds are also dust and water-resistant (with an IP55 rating), and available in black or green.
