The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is a more compact alternative to larger home theater soundbars, and it’s now available for $359 on Amazon, down from its $499 list price. That’s a $140 saving, or approximately 28% off, making the Dolby Atmos-equipped soundbar worth considering if you want to upgrade your TV’s audio without giving up too much space.

The Beam (Gen 2) is designed for smaller living rooms, apartments, and entertainment setups where a bulky soundbar might be impractical. Despite its compact footprint, it supports Dolby Atmos for a more immersive listening experience with compatible content. It also offers Wi-Fi connectivity, HDMI eARC, and integration with the Sonos multiroom audio ecosystem.

The soundbar is a good fit for viewers who want clearer dialogue, fuller sound, and a more cinematic experience than most built-in TV speakers can provide. Its compact design also makes it easier to accommodate beneath many televisions without dominating the entertainment center.

However, the Beam (Gen 2) is not a replacement for a full surround-sound setup. Its compact, all-in-one design has limitations compared with larger soundbars that include dedicated subwoofers or separate rear speakers. Buyers who prioritize powerful bass or a more expansive home theater experience may want to compare it with larger alternatives before making a decision.

Amazon isn’t the only retailer worth checking. The Sonos Beam (Gen 2) is also listed at Sonos, Best Buy, Walmart, and Target, giving shoppers several places to compare the price and availability before purchasing. Check each retailer’s listing for its current price, available color, and shipping or pickup options, as these details can vary.

At $359, the Sonos Beam (Gen 2) offers a more approachable entry point into Sonos’ home theater lineup. The discount is most compelling for buyers who value a compact design, Dolby Atmos support, and integration with other Sonos speakers. If you need a dedicated subwoofer or more substantial surround sound, however, it may be worth considering a larger system instead.
