The TV is the LG OLED77B5PUA, part of LG’s 2025 B5 OLED lineup. Despite being LG’s more affordable OLED series, the B5 packs several features that make it particularly interesting for gaming, including a native 120Hz refresh rate, VRR, NVIDIA G-Sync and AMD FreeSync Premium support.

A 77-inch OLED for $1,500

The headline here is obviously the size. You’re getting a 77-inch 4K OLED for $1,499.99, while Best Buy currently lists a $2,999.99 comparable value.

That makes the current price exactly half of the listed value. LG itself originally positioned the 77-inch B5 at $2,999, so the discount isn’t simply based on an inflated retailer comparison price.

The B5 uses OLED’s self-lit pixels for deep blacks and high contrast, while LG’s Alpha 8 AI Processor Gen2 handles picture and sound processing. The TV also supports Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos and FILMMAKER MODE.

Built for 120Hz gaming

For gamers, the B5 has a particularly useful combination of features.

That makes the $1,499.99 price more interesting than simply looking at the advertised 50% savings. You’re getting last year’s B-series OLED technology, rather than LG’s newest generation, but you’re also paying considerably less than the original $2,999 price.

For someone specifically looking for a large OLED with 120Hz gaming support, the B5’s current price puts a 77-inch panel into a substantially lower price bracket than it occupied at launch.
