Amazon is giving Prime Video subscribers another way to tame the ever-growing pile of streaming subscriptions. The company has launched a new five-service bundle in the U.S. that brings together AMC+, BritBox, MGM+, PBS Masterpiece, and STARZ for $29.99 per month.
The bundle became available on September 15 and is offered directly through Prime Video. Amazon says it represents nearly 39% savings compared with subscribing to all five services separately.
The new package combines five specialty streaming services that cover a surprisingly broad mix of TV and movies.
AMC+ brings shows and franchises including The Walking Dead universe and Anne Rice adaptations, while BritBox focuses on British television, with series such as Blue Lights, Ludwig, and The Other Bennet Sister. MGM+ adds its lineup of original series, movies, and classic films, including FROM. PBS Masterpiece focuses on British and international dramas and mysteries, including All Creatures Great and Small and Miss Scarlet.
Then there’s STARZ, which brings its own catalog of original programming, including the Power universe and Outlander, along with movies and upcoming series.
Amazon describes this as the first five-service streaming bundle available through Prime Video. Ryan Pirozzi, Amazon’s head of Prime Video Channels in the U.S., said the goal is to put the five services together in one place while giving customers a lower combined price.
The bundle also fits neatly into Amazon’s broader Prime Video Channels strategy. Instead of maintaining separate subscriptions and billing arrangements for each service, customers can manage the bundle through Prime Video with a single monthly charge.
At $29.99 per month, the bundle works out to roughly $360 per year before taxes. Amazon says that is nearly 39% less than paying for the five services individually.
For people who already subscribe to several of these services, that could make the bundle particularly interesting. For everyone else, though, the value depends heavily on how much of the combined catalog they actually watch. Five streaming services can sound like a bargain until you realize you’re paying for five libraries to watch one show at a time.
