Apple today unveiled the 2nd Gen Apple Watch SE at its “Far out” event, which costs $249 cheaper and has the S8 chip, Crash Detection, and new color options.

The second-generation Apple Watch SE provides the essential Apple Watch functionality at a lower cost. The S8 chip, which powers the new Apple Watch Series 8 and Apple Watch Ultra, has made the Apple Watch SE 20% faster. The Apple Watch SE can offer Crash Detection, international roaming, and Low Power Mode thanks to the S8 chip.

To make the back case lighter, a new, color scheme of nylon composite material has been used in its redesign. Midnight, Starlight, and Silver are just a few of the new color options for the 2nd Gen Apple Watch SE.

The 2nd Gen Apple Watch SE is available for pre-order today at Apple.com and will be shipped Friday, September 16, 2022, and will cost $249 for GPS and $299 for GPS + Cellular model.
