With the launch of the new DJI RS 3 Gimbal and RS 3 Pro Gimbal, DJI is now changing the videography field. The gimbals integrate the most popular Ronin Series features with a number of new stabilization features that will enhance the lives of creators.

First off, the DJI RS 3 Pro has an improved ten-pound payload capacity. High-end cameras like the Sony FX6 or Canon C70 can be handled by their extended carbon-fiber axis arms. This allows for much more artistic control for videographers.

The gimbal was also created to make balance simple. It has a fine-tuning knob that enables millimeter-level camera positioning adjustments. Additionally, it has wireless shutter control for even more dynamic shooting and automatic axis locks for fast use.

There are so many important gimbal features in the DJI RS 3 Pro Gimbal. To begin with, DJI improved the RS 3 Pro’s balance. This is perfect for quick setup shoots or days when you need to shoot a documentary fast. In addition, the DJI RS 3 Pro can carry a massive ten pounds (while it still weighs just 3.3 pounds itself).

The action-packed DJI RS 3 Pro also offers videographers wireless shutter control, instant mode switching, and a larger touchscreen experience.

Two of the DJI RS 3 Pro’s most attractive features are its fast stabilization and effective installation. It features automated axis locks for quickly moving from sleep mode to shooting. Additionally, a number of additional smooth-footage features are available to videographers thanks to the newest stabilization algorithm.

One benefit is that the gimbal offers 20% more steadiness than its predecessor. Videographers will like the RS 3’s motor torque when SuperSmooth mode is on. This improves stabilization, even more, resulting in those beautifully smooth shots.

Not only is the DJI RS 3 Pro powerful. It can support up to ten pounds of gear, or around the weight of a Sony FX6 camera with a 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. All of this is achieved while still weighing 3.3 pounds, which is a manageable amount.

Additionally, this gimbal features a stylish carbon fiber design that is made to withstand even the busiest days on set.

Videographers will benefit from superior focusing help with the DJI RS 3 Pro thanks to LiDAR focusing technology. Creators can be sure the video they’re capturing is as sharp as it can be thanks to the integrated LiDAR Range Finder, which projects 43,200 ranging points over a 14-meter area.

The DJI RS Focus Motor, which is included with the DJI RS 3 Pro, also offers torque that is three times stronger than that of its predecessors while reducing noise by 50 percent. With the added benefit of ActiveTrack Pro to keep an eye on the subject throughout the shoot, creators can now switch between manual and autofocus.

Besides that, DJI also launched new DJI Transmission that works with the new RS 3 Pro and it is one of the most interesting accessories DJI has launched. This long-range wireless transmission supports 20,000 feet of ultra-long video and audio transmission, which gives crews the ultimate versatility on set.

The new gimbals, DJI RS 3 and RS 3 Pro will be available today for a starting price of $549 and $869, respectively. Both gimbals can also be bought as a combo bundle that comes with a number of accessories. The RS 3 Combo includes an extra handle, a new focus motor, a carrying case, and more. This option will cost you $719.
